Uplands is one of the luxury neighbourhoods in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. It is bordered by Bathurst Street to the East and Yonge Street to the West, and from Centre Street on the South to Highway 7 on the North.
There are several parks around the neighbourhoods: Rosedale North Park, Oakbank Pond Park, Thornhill Park and Bathurst District Park.
Recreation facilities include The Sports village and Uplands Golf and Ski Club.
Designed by Stanley Thompson, Uplands Golf first opened in 1922 as an eighteen hold private courses. In 1989, urban sparwl engulfed half of the course and it became a nine hole gem in the middle of the city. The current nine holes criss cross a valley filled with mature trees and forested valley. The fourth and eighth holes are two of the most spectacular par threes in the Southern Ontario Region.
